2005 s4 problem

RE: 2005 s4 problem
Well after replacing all the plugs and the 4 coils that were causing the misfires on cylinder 5, 6, 7 and 8 I am still faced with the same problem. The CEL does not stay on steady but only flashes when you try to accelerate. So what could be next to replace? I had a dealer check the codes and assured me the coils were the problem. Any other thing I should try before I burn it and collect the insurance money?

RE: 2005 s4 problem
lol... damn that sucks... try getting theCEL reset again and everything cleared...
and if the code(s) come back for the same thing maybe it's the ECM but before we jump
to that conclusion, give me the codes that come up...i've got access to alot of diag. info

RE: 2005 s4 problem
One step closer to burning the car...so ignition coils are good, spark plugs are good, compression is good and MAF is good. Now its going to the Audi dealer where they are guessing that its a primary catalyst problem or something that allows the air in underneath? Once you hit about 3000rpm it turns into a corrolla and wants to sleep. Not going to be cheap. Just thought I would share.

RE: 2005 s4 problem
After changing the coils on 5-8 and resetting the ECM the same codes continue to show. Major misfires on 5-8. They suggest a computer problem. Should I go with another stock unit or go aftermarket with an APR or something?

I thought 2ks4 was back for a second...but no, just a 1 1/2 year old thread brought back to light.
Sorry fellas I dont think that 2fast4u2005 is going to respond since he hasn't posted in one year and his last post was a classified ad to sell his car.
