Default 2005 B6 S4 inquiry

Hello All,

New member here, been lurking for about a year now just looking at all the nice AWD monsters you all have so cleverly modded. I have been drooling over first a B5 S4 and now after about 3 years of drooling have up'd the dreaming to a B6. Wanted a B7 but cant afford the 30k pricetag on a '06, so I am gonna settle (ha!) on a 2005.

Anyways blah blah blah got a couple of quick questions for the experts. Planning on getting a black or nogaro blue '05 S4 after the winter (I know, wish I could have it in the snow, money stops me from doing that though) and was wondering if there were any catalogs out there for modding, or just to hear about options and where to look for specifically B6 upgrades. I know its a fairly new car so there arent too many crazy mods out there, but I figured you guys would be the right people to ask to find where to look. Been looking online at a bunch of websites (horsepowerfreaks etc.) but not many mods for 05 and up, most are for B5s and older.

Thanks for the help in advance guys, I really cant wait to get the new car so I can really be a part of the audi family. S4s really are a thing of beauty!

Start with rear sway bar - most bang for the buck ($200). I'd say coilovers next. Then chip it and put on full exhaust, resonated. You're pretty much done at the point unless you want to get a supercharger. Until recently, the only option was MTM which is the price of another car ($25K). There is now one out there for around $10K. I hear there should be one out fairly soon for closer to $5K, but that is unconfirmed. My issue with the SC is that it whines like a bitch - not the nice clean whistle of a turbo.

Hey yesss4, thanks for the reply.

After doing some more research and taking your advice I think your order in upgrades is pretty spot on. I might get the full exhaust then chip first just to feel that extra power, but sway bar and coilovers are certainly right behind. My buddy has an '02 S4 and is telling me to get suspension before all else. But tint and wheels are a must also in that mix somewhere.

I agree a turbo sounds far superior than a supercharger, plus at those prices it would be hard to drop in there, but man would that be incredible. That first video that thing is just cruising through the gears.

Let me just say those BBS look amazing on your car man. Are those RGRs or RS-GTs? What kind of rubber is wrapped around those beauties?

Thanks. They're RGRs (19x8.5), but I have to warn you that they don't fit well. I went down to 235s and increased the camber and they still rub. You can roll your fenders but there's a risk of the paint cracking so I haven't done it. The tires are Falkens and are a great buy at around $150 each.
