OK to be honest I already have a 99 BMW 540iT. I am in need of another wagon to haul the pets around. I have to keep the people car and the pet cars separate. I love my 540it and am tempted to just get another one for the pets. I've never owned an Audi been a BMW kinda guy. But I'm in love with the German V8's.

 

the S6 will be a fun change from the 540it, i almost bought an 03 540i, black with black interior and the msport package and mpar wheels. talk about sexy. sadly it sold the day before i went into take a look at it. im not a fan of the 5 series touring because i feel like the front end doesnt match well with the rear, personal opinion but to each his own. the S6 imo looks a little bit better plus it has the awd which is fun, dont get me wrong i love both german companies(bmw just a little bit more) but im gonna say since you already have had the 540 im gonna say try audi on for size and if you dont like it, sell it in a year or so and get the newer body style 550i! mmm

 

Yes I'm thinking of the AWD which could come in handy at times. The S6 does have the looks though I love the looks and the engine of my 540.

 

I'm looking to buy a 2003 Audi S6 Avant Wagon but the vehicle has 233,000 kms on it. It has a new transmission, timing belt, water pump and breaks but I'm worried about the high clicks. Any comments? I am going from a 2004 BMW 545i sedan which I miss dearly, but really need the AWD up here in Calgary Canada because we have harsh winters.
