Default 2.7 engine rebuild?

i was wondering that if in time my car due to defaults or whatsoever my engine would fale. what would a rebuild cost for the 2.7 30v biturbo

for my 200sx 1.8 16v it was around 500 for pistons,500 for rods, 500 for bearings, seals and head gasket, the head was around 800 and another 500 for stuff like timing belt enz

this is very affordable for most guys, but the 2.7 offcourse is alot more expensive and bigger and has 6cyl.

so only on pieces for engine internals, what would it cost to make a bullet broof 450bhp s4 engine

yeah yeah i know , but let's just say something goes wrong , i was just wondering, i rather spend 3-4000 on new pistons, head geaskets ,valves and that stuff then to buy a second hand engine where you know nothing about, they like 3000 € here, that's almost 3750 dollar , and then you get a second hand engine, better to spend 3-4000 on new internals not?

so all the stage 3+ 450bhp s4's have stock engines? nice ****, good block then!

I thought I'd heard that some engines were actually built up a little to 3.0L for running really big Torque numbers.

Yeah i would say the majority of k04 cars have stock engines in them. However if i was going garrett turbos, or straight k24s i would certainly build up the motor first. Here are a few prices of stuff iv found, certainly not the only places to get stuff but it gives you an idea.

AutoSpeed sells forged pistons for $1800
ECs has high stregnth connecting gods for $1300
Head gaskets a little over $100 I believe
Valves $3-500
T-belt kit is like $400
Vast (and im sure plenty of automotove/machine shops near you) can help with performance heads, and im sure everything else youd need too.

1 EURO is 1.69 US dollar right now... so somehting that is 3000euro is really like 4700 USD.
I just bought my new cleats for 338 euro and it came to be just over 500 us dollars.

and yes... i paid 500+ for a pair of soccer boots. New Nike Vapor Limiteds, 450 being made, 100% carbon fiber. should be interesting to check out these bad larrys

yay soccer fan! ^ nothing like getting ready early. There is really no reason why to build an engine or redo it at all. Just buy a new one its so much more simple that I don't see why anyone would do anything else. 11secS4 has the fastest full interior S4 and he didn't redo the engine so why should any of us?
