HELP!! - Oil Indicator at 800 miles
The Oil indicator with the oil saying MIN went on and the car only has 800 miles... i read in the manual that this may happen during the break in period, can someone please tell me if this is normal on the RS4? If so, do I just add more oil to the car and what is the recommend brand?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the manual said it's normal for the engine to consume as much as half a quart every 600 miles and consumption may be higher during break-in.
You may want to check it(at least) every other fill up during break in and keep a spare qt in the car. Mine burned a few qts the first 2500 miles..
Here is a link to the approved oil list... it's 502.00 for the US

RE: HELP!! - Oil Indicator at 800 miles
I've filled my RS4 up with a bit of oil once already at 4K, the dealer took care of it in 5 minutes. 1000 miles later I need to do it again. I really don't think it's that big a deal, so long that it's an uncostly simple fix.

My S4 needed a qt every few months after the first 4000 miles but the RS4 I have not added any in the RS since 3k(could be due to service)
just think of it as a wear item...
