RE: First Time Buyer
Thanks for reply. Norwalk is just right around the neighborhood I grew up in, Cerritos, although I live in Irvine now. I could pay them a visit.
I have some performance related questions for you, as I am currently driving a M3 cab. First of all, in normal driving do you feel the mass of the car at all? How's the ride quality on uneven pavement? I read a review of the RS 4 where the reviewer found that the DRC could be confused into thinking you are cornering and stiffened up too much to the car to bump up and down. Thanks.

RE: First Time Buyer
there was another thread that was talking about what a "fat pig" the RS4 is, and at over two tons, i suppose it is. but 425 horses has a way of overcoming 4000 lbs really quickly. in addition, it is hands down the most free revving V8 i have ever driven. all this combined with the virtually flat torque curve means while the car feels "substantial", it never feels heavy.
ride quality wise, i came from a suby STi so the RS4 is like a rolls royce in comparison but i'd say the ride is very redined yet confident. never felt anything "out of the ordinary" with the hydraulic suspension system, on uneven roads and in cornering.
i spent some time in a M3 with the comp pack and felt the RS4 felt better balanced, due mostly to the quattro with rear bias. the RS4 is a better overall performer, but because it costs more, i suppose it had better be!!
