I've been noticing a trend... BMW --> AUDI

I personally had a 91 BMW 735i before moving into to my 01 A6 2.7 6spd.

The BIM was tight. Handled great and is a completely different car than what I have now. I have nothing against BMW at all, there cars are the **** and incredibly reliable. It was a showdown between a 02 528i and my A6... you know the rest.

What was your last ride before your AUDI?

2000 passat 1.8t FWD tip. APR chip 710n leather (last year of real leather) ~~> 1999 audi a4 1.8t quatro

to be honest i like the audi better all around but the passat intieror was alot nicer had the computer with the controls on the colom.. and the aftermarket cd player looked alot better.

I was lookin at pissants before the audi... I couldn't ignore the price diff. I'm glad I decided to go with the Audi though. I agree the interiors are sparse, but after watching a BMW documentary I get the idea behind some of the design.

Euro Models arent' designed with american habits in mind. cup holders and things like that are an after thought for us... The Germans take their driving seriously, and don't confuse any other task.

Funny thread, I sold my Audi S4 (B5) to buy a BMW M5 (E39). Couldn't have been happier and I didn't miss the Audi for long at all (about two corners), but maybe that's because I moved up a class rather than across, to a 3-Series or something.

Went from a 95 Accord, and a 95 Chrysler to the 98 A6. Almost got a 99 328is, but the guy sold it before I could get to him. Getting stationed in England soo so I'm drooling at a Skyline or Elise. Doubt either of those will happen, but its fun to dream.

I have had a lot of cars in the past, some I liked, some I regretted. My last being a Nissan Silvia conversion, I didnt regret it, but it began to become a problem child...I got the A4 because it was a very good deal and I felt I didn't have to mod anything on it for me to be happy with it. And I love it...plus it has something none of my previous cars had, A/C!

1993 240sx, SR20DET blacktop(built), tons of mods, 100% Cusco suspension, wheels I bought in Japan, sponsored by CooperTires and HorsepowerFreaks

'87 Honda Accord LXi hatch- $300 never flew so far. It would not die. We even put a cinder block on the gas for an hour.

'90 Nissan Pathfinder- Awesome. Had a bit of rust, but it was very comfortable with a lot of space. Almost got another one.

'00 A4- Loving it. It's a lot easier to work on than I anticipated.
