So, I was pricing insurance for my next car (A4, S4, 535, etc). It could be more cost-effective to buy an S4 than a 535is. The 535
s insurance premium for is is nearly $400 more/6mo than the S4 (same model year). Anyone else experience similar results?

 

Yeah, I was looking into a V8 rear wheel drive not too long ago, insurance was cheaper on 2002 C5 Vette than it was on 1999 Mustang GT orany V8 Camaro. Oh well, I think it has a lot to do w/ typical drivers. Mustangs and Camaros are wrercked by teens alot, so it jacks up insurance rates. S4 might have better safety ratings, or are wrecked less than 535, since they're less common. Sometimes it's just the insurance company.

 

Well, once I can afford the payments, I might have an S4 parked in my drive way
