to anyone,

i'm going camping in a few weeks and i own an 2002 audi a4 3.0 quattro...i'm going to be carrying a thule rack with box full, a trunk full and 4 people + dog. would you also attach a trunk bike rack to the car? would that be too much?

any insight would help...

If u have a roof rack, there's no problem w mounting a thule deal on it...as for da trunk mount bike rack, just put some beachtowels underneath it (anywhere it may scratch da paint)...4 people and full trunk are no problem...the only issue I would have would be a dog...no dogs allowed in my car, but I guess if it's a little one and you feel like you have the situationunder control go for it!

Frankly, As long as you've got the Thule rack and box, a dog, 3 passengers and a trunk full of crap, you may as well add a couple of bikes to the load. The bikes and rack - maybe 75 more pounds? No big deal. If you're that hesitant about it, go weigh it on a truck scale. You're probably no more than 700 pounds over(your weight limit)
