Women Are Expensive

Haha, I just hate the Hummer brand because it exemplifies how ridiculous GM is/was -- also exemplified the cluelessness of consumers as they lined up in hordes for something that was so obviously yuppie and unnecessary. GM releases the H2 in the midst of sky-rocketing gas prices... and the H3 as a cheaper/less insane alternative. I would hedge a bet that the vast majority of H3 owners drooled gallons when the H2 was released... and figured the cutesy H3 was close enough (image wise) and much much cheaper.
GM FTL, as usual.

I resent that -_-
What's wrong with the 6.5???
My cousin has an H1. He managed to break the transmission climbing in Michigan 2 months after he got it. It wasn't a bad tranny, just a stupid driver.
Geo Trackers mud and go off-roading, still doesn't give me wood though

with the exception of the H1, most of the parts come straight from the GM parts bin. It's not like GM uses unique parts for each marque in its lineup. Otherwise, cars in the GM lineup would suck, individually, instead of collectively, across all brands.

What he said. I've always owned GM cars, the BMW and the Audi our my first two foreign cars. (And the BMW is going.) I pretty much know how to work on anything GM and outside of body panels, a lot of crap is interchangeable. It's the key to GM keeping it's parts prices down.
Oldsmobile got shut down years ago, and you can still go to any GM Parts Supplier and find parts. Things sit on shelfs for years.
