Default WinFixer 2005

I have no idea how it happened but WinFixer 2005 has taken over my computer. Does anyone know how to remove from the computer. It has started throwing pop ups all over the place and takes me to some BS internet site. I have read all kinds of horror stories about what it does to computers but there isn't a solution that I have found. Lots of BS about how to remove it but I have no idea how.

Are there any computer junkies out there that know how to get rid of it?? The internet is turning into such a joke. You can't turn your computer on or even off for that matter without getting hit with a virus or adware.

Any help would be awsome. This crap is driving me crazy.

I find that Microsoft's Antispyware is actually really good at removing and stopping things like that.

I find that Debian is alot better.

**** windows, **** mac.

Once you get used to linux you can't go back. Granted learning curve is a day or two, but all **** is the same, everyone thinks alike.

I'm not sure how to get rid of it? I have tried everything that I can and nothing is working. It really sucks.

If something can jump on your compu and take over, then you may have more than a spyware problem. You might try - http://www.webroot.com/?rc=257&ac=62...1&wt.mc_id=629 as a start. A good cleansing will make your compu faster and put you back in control.

It's not free, but it is more effective than some of the free programs out there and is aggressively updated as new spyware comes out. You might want to look into a hardware and software firewall setup to protect you from various trojan horses as well.

typical windows

You would think a fixer program wouldn't break it but fix it...

boot from a disc

type
C:\> format c:\ -y 0
press enter

all will be fixed to factory spec

Lavasoft's adaware is pretty good..could try that

I wouldnt recomend that you format unless you have all driver discs for everything, and know what youre doing
