Why are used Jaguars so cheap?

I owned an 04 X-Type 3.0 Sport model before I bought our 2 Audis, it was a very nice car. It had a really decent AWD system, and with the right tires it was a capable car.
It's interior was very nice, but it also felt under powered (230HP), and it had an auto tranny, one could not turn off the traction control system, and there were virtually zero upgrade mods for this vehicle.
I ran 18" Pzero Nero summer tires and 17" Blizzaks or something (can't remember) in the winter. I got rid of it at 7x,xxx miles.
Now, for my money, and the driveability, and the driving experience, I'll take my A4 over it any day.
Why are they so cheap? There were a ton of them that came off leases 3 and 4 years out, that and the uncertainty of what Ford would do with that model (rumors of discontinuing it), and with Jaguar as a brand (they sold it), don't make for high resale value.
Hypothetically, would you buy a Chrysler today? what about a used Chrysler? That company may not be in business in 2 years, so what's happening to that mfrs resale values?
Audi just had their first year of 1MM car sales worldwide, and appear to be one of the few (if only) brand increasing at such a heady pace. Does that mean our Audis will start demanding a premium?

I wish... I'd probably sell it but only to get another one cheaper at auction.
