tahts what happened with my first car except i was allowed to have some input and got lucky my dad fell in love with the Mustang GT (his brotehr had one back in the day) and so we split it 50/50 and ever since i have paid for my car.

most of the young guys wouldn;t have the time to work to pay for a 15,000 car, but taht also depends on the year of teh cars these ppl have. And 99audi that would be my situation except my insurance is way less, (4500 is alot) mine is $1800 and that is with a point on my license.

if his family is set financially, why would they wanna see their son drive a car he doesnt want to drive? dont be mad cuz someones family is willing to help/buy a car for them, maybe they earned it...

The issue, is that he thinks he bought the car himself. Nobody gets 10+ grand in allowance and b-day money, by the time they are 16. You should be thanking your parents, they did pay for your car.
And yes, I think at 16, it makes sense to drive whatever car you can afford, even if its a 15 year old honda... then you work your *** off, save up, and earn a better car. It is healthy to have goals, that lead to accomplishment.

my parents signed for my car, but i'm working and paying for the car and insurance every other month, because i'm together on policy with them, one month i pay next they pay, and it goes back N forth like that all the time. Its pretty good we only pay 360-370$ i think a month for us 3 and 3 cars

Haha, I don't see any noteworthy inheritance in my future... what are ya gonna do. Lets just hope this "school" thing everybody talks about, pays off.

My parents could easily afford to buy me a car when i was 16... They didnt.. they told me to go get a job. And make sure I get a cheap car that is easy for "me" to work on. So "I" didnt have to pay for a mechanic. Well i went out and bought some beaters and fixed them up and sold them for more, and slowly progressed up in class each time. But I learned the value of things. And how to take care of things. As for my audi. I was sitting in the middle of Iraq, and had a dream of an A4 next day i was on Ebay!! and threw down some cash and paid for it...
