Oh yes, that's very true... I suppose "relative" to some impoverished countries, we're doing okay... but it's clear you agree that we can still improve a great deal in how we educate our youth about sex. Like you say in the post following the one I quoted, age appropriate sex education in kindergarten is worth looking into. If it can curb ongoing abuse, or stop some 14 year old from getting pregnant down the road... then great.

I agree with you headshock. Alot of people seem to be ignorant of the phrase "Age appropriate". The teacher isnt going to take out a ***** and teach the kids how to put on a condom with their mouth. AGE APPROPRIATE. This is all helping the kids learn and most importantly preventing sexual abuse. For hundreds of thousands, even millions of years, \ kids that age have learned about sex in their tribes and family groups by direct exposure to it. Stop trying to shelter your kids, its not a positive thing.
How dark is the hole in the ground that you have your head in?

Just like a typical liberal to trash talk the other side so they wont post the truth anymore.

I aint scared.....

What are you even talking about? How about actually commenting on why you think his abuse-prevention comment was so insane? Why not do that? Because you're too bloody stupid to form an original thought, or critically analyze anything for yourself? Best let the internet propaganda do the thinking for you.

God, your ignorance is mind boggling. Nice avatar, btw... WTF? I think you've joined the wrong forum. Go make some conspiracy youtube videos or something.

Congrats youve managed to make another negative post.

My head isnt in a hole in the ground. Since when is education wrong? The only way people 14 or 40 years old can make solid decisions is by educating themselves. I think you need to take your head out out of you *** and educate yourself!

"Let's look first at the claim that Obama wants five-year-olds to learn about sex.
The origins of this claim go back to Obama's days as a state senator in the Illinois General Assembly. In 2003, the Assembly considered a bill to expand sex education directives from grades 6 through 12 to grades K through 12. The legislation required the curriculum to be medically accurate and include information on the prevention of HIV and contraceptives. It also said abstinence must be taught and that students "shall be encouraged to base their actions on reasoning, self-discipline, sense of responsibility, self-control, and ethical considerations, such as respect for oneself and others.

Most pertinent to the kindergarten allegation, the legislation states that "course material and instruction shall be age and developmentally appropriate."

Carol Ronen, the now-retired state senator who sponsored the bill, said its main intent was to make sure that teenagers got information that was "medically accurate," a requirement that wasn't then part of the school code. A secondary effect was to expand age-appropriate sex education down to lower grades, to allow things like teaching school children to avoid sex predators, Ronen said. "

Listen to someone other than Bill O'Rilley for once. The goal, like that article and I stated, is to EDUCATE kids so they can make good choices and hopefully not become victims of sexual abuse. Its not teaching kids in detail about sex, that still wont be included intill much later. Kids are exposed to sexual content all over the place, we should also try to teach them how to protect themselves.

And im not a libral, im not a democrat, im not a republican, im not a socialist, im not a fascict, im not a christian. I dont associate with any group of loonies more than any other. Im not trash talking anyone either, i just said what i think. I think it is entirely appropriate to teach our children the BASICS of making safe decisions in preventing pregnancy, STD's, and abuse at a young age. Im sorry if you disagree.

And im glad your not scared, theres no reason you should be. Maybe next time you can take the time and effort to express exactly how you feel about the topic rather than just posting negative things about OUR president and alluding to some master plan he has to destroy america.

I don't have kids yet so I won't say yes or no. But food for thought. In Sweden sex ed begins at age six. Not by chance, rates of teen pregnancy and STDs are among the world's lowest. click here Sex ed here is seems more like a taboo in comparison with Europe. Yet kids are having kids left and right.

90sport you got issues. Go blog about it. Just not here.

Oh for crying out loud, 90Sport, do you get laid much???

That's all bullsheet to begin with. The "education" that some want soft headed individuals like yourself to soak up as anti-Obama crap is just that - crap.

The "education" is designed to teach small children not how to perform sex or describe what they might see loaded on your computer, but what is right and wrong behaviour when an adult touches them. It's molestation prevention plain and simple... jesus!

Or are you fearful that the kids on block will finally catch wise to your "Catch the Gopher in My Pocket" game? lol

Exactly, this guy is a tard. Every single post seems to have a politcal agenda. Go cry in the corner about Obama, emo kid.
Jesus.
Seriously though, the avatar pisses me off. Guy's just been sworn in, and you're pushing that he's a terrorist? You're gonna feel like a big dipshit in 4 years. He may not be perfect, but the notion that he's a terrorist is just insane. You are a fool.

Edited for coherence.

Better left to the parents? I'm a bit of a cynic... So I'll say that way too many parents are morons. I'd rather have somebody with formal training teach 'em. Because what's going to happen... is that the parents are NOT going to teach them at all.
