Scots-Irish from my mom's side which came in from Louisiana. Mostly German, with a German name, from my dad's side. From the looks of immigration records from back in the day the German side came in through Canada to Ohio, or up the river and into Ohio. Cleveland I think.
If you ever get the chance to go into Ancestry.com or the like I recommend it. My dad was doing some research last year and the signed records have been scanned in. It is pretty neat to see your relatives hand-writing and who they signed for/brought into the country with them. When he did the search it didn't have an accurate spelling, but when we looked at the handwriting/signatures we could recognize what the computer could not.

my ancestors lived in the third cave past the river.
