My favorite hands down is.....

MATRIX RELOADED.

 

The ORIGINAL 'Gone in 60 seconds' was filmed around the Torrance area of Southern California, near where I lived at the time. It was cool seeing all the chases on the streets I regularly drove on.

 

the dude actually died filming that movie didn't he? when he drove into the watertower or soemthing. i THINK it was the original director who died. anyone?

 

i dont remmber that but i haev seen the chase scene in SF from rock and Bullitt. Its cool seeing stuff like that. The coolest is i have driven the LOng Beach Garnd Prix track right before it was closed off for the race and riden on it during a race (pace car). My uncle is a manger at the Long Beach convention center.

definitly MATRIX RELOADED[sm=hail.gif]... its the only chase that lasted almost 30 min. and you were on edge evey second; i didn't too much care for the rest of the movie.

 

The director (and producer / writer?) was Toby Halecki. He owned a auto salvage yard just down the street from the old Ascot Raceway on Vermont near Artesia Bl. I don't thing he died making the movie, but I believe he died shortly thereafter.

Hmm.. like I would believe that that green VW beetle is faster than both the Dodge and the Ford? (It does get ahead of them a couple of times).

I would like to change my Italian Job (Original) vote to Blues Brothers. "You want out of this parking lot? OK!"
