whats obo i see when selling stuff?

 

"or best offer"

 

it means "the price i want is MUCH less that advertized, and your a sucker if you pay what i am askin", in sales language.

 

does anyone ever offer the origial price instead of giving a lower offer

 

stating "obo" gives the seller the option to hold onto his car until he gets a decent offer (sometimes up to the initial asking price)....if a seller posts something for sale at, say, 5 grand, firm, and they get an offer for five grand and don't sell, that's kind of an ******* thing to do....BUT, if they list it at 5500 obo, and they get an offer for 5 grand, it's ok to hold onto it to wait for a better offer.....
