When I first arrived here in the US fromk Britain, we visited my family in DC, then drove from there all the way here to Phoenix. Your trip will be sliiiightly longer than mine. Fun nonetheless!! Not to mention, MY trip was made in a Lincoln Towncar. You'll be in an A6!!!!!

It'd cost you less than $600 to drive to SF from DC.

Think about it... if you're averaging 360 miles-per-full tank / 2,600 miles = 7.22 times you fill up your tank. Now, lets say you have a 16 gallon tank. We'll round the fill ups to an even 7.

Average cost per full tank would be about $50, equaling out to $350.00 - one way.



I drove from Seattle to Dallas and my car ran great the whole way! MARATHON DRIVING!

I would try to go and visit places, but I think I will be on a tight schedule. I still have concern about driving 800-900 miles in a day...just don't want a long term damage to the engine!
