i bought my audi for a daily, while i build my scirocco rally car. to be honest i think i have more off-road miles on my audi then my vw and cant wait to take the audi out in the snow for some fun where ill run laps around my friends Evo and Wrx wagon

BTW, that Mustang can break them loose from a 30 mph roll up thru 3rd gear. Point and shoot for sure.
Breaking tires lose in 3rd gear is impressive? My old RX-7 could break them lose launching it at 70 on the highway... I was running 225-50-16 dunlops on it and in the rain traction was more of a joke then reality.

I knew a guy that had a '68 Chrysler Newport convertible w/ a 440 BB and a 4 spd. If you downshifted too early from 4th to 3rd, it would do a burnout.

LOL....I dont think that was a burnout, but more of a way for him to blow his trans. If you downshift too early the internals in the trans. are moving faster than the rmp of the motor so the whole drivetrain locks up until the speed matches the engine. Its definately a great way to chip teeth and blow seals!!!
