What do you carry?

Hey it's cool, I'm not here to judge pinkies; just guns. If I got an auto-pistol it would be a Sig or a 1911. Like I've stated earlier my dad uses a Sig as his duty pistol and it's rock solid. I'm more a revolver guy though because the only major malfunction one must worry about is the bullet getting stuck between the forcing cone and the cylinder.

I want to start building a 1911. I had a line on an Essex frame, but it fell through. I think after the holiday bills are paid off, I'm going to pick up a Caspian frame and start from there.

A lot of people don't realize that old-school gattling guns are actually legal to own. They don't count as a fully automatic weapon because you have to keep cranking the handle to keep it firing.

Mounting them on a car might be a little questionable...
Besides, you live in Chicago. Aren't guns 1000% illegal there, anyway?

Mount them! Do it! Do it! A lot of people also don't realize this but you can send most old single actions through the regular mail as long as they're unloaded. But then again when they get those old cap and ball revolvers they fail to realize that, well, just see my sig.

9000's are cheap, too. You can pick up a used 9mm for $350. You'll be surprised at how heavy it feels in your hand and how little recoil there is because of the massive recoil spring. Trigger is smooth as silk, and it's accurate as hell thanks to it's unique style of mounting the slide to the frame. On it, the mounting rails are on the inside of the frame, not the outside. This holds the slide tight.
The recoil spring is actually two springs and it's fixed onto the guide rod. Makes cleaning a bit tricky, but stripping and assembly are a breeze. Plus, the disassembly lever automatically resets when you mount the slide for very quick reassembly.

Went last night to an indoor gun range (and where I buy my weapons) and shot a Taurus that looked similar but the only thing it had in common with the Beretta was that is was a .40 SW. Didn't like it. Handle was too small for my hand. Barrel wasn't tapered like the 9000s.
But since you posted the pics I'm still going to get one.
Also, no one at the gun shop knew of the Beretta. They were looking it up to see what they can do to order it. Looks like I may have to go to Gunbroker and pay these twits their $100 transfer fee

A lot of people consider the 9000s to be the Berettas bastard child, since it uses a drop-down barrel lock. Hell of a gun.
