RE: What do the cops drive in your state?
Here in Washington, we have basically what's already been listed....EXCEPT for the State Patrol.
Those bastards have some very undercover cars rolling around, including:
A white late model Volvo Station Wagon (like the UK one with the pic above)
Several black Dodge Stratus' with super dark tint and big chrome rims
A teal Dodge Caravan
And a black Honda S2000....no joke.
And those are just the ones I've seen pulling people over. I'm sure they have more UC's rollin around. And speaking of AZ, the one thing I do remember enjoying was that there weren't many speed traps...ever. Aside from those vans and trailers with cameras, I don't think in the 4 years I lived in the Phoenix area I EVER saw an actual speed trap (as in, cop sitting in his car with radar gun)
Driving I-5 here in the Seattle area, I pass a speed trap at least 3 times a week. No fun when you're trying to enjoy your bike...makes me miss jumping on I-10 or the 202 and pinning it.

RE: What do the cops drive in your state?
New Hemi Chargers
Z28 Camaros (only "legal" unrestricted ones in the state)
Saw a 5.0 Mustang once
New Dodge Magnum, not sure if it was a Hemi or not.
Brand new BMW bikes
Crown Vic and Chevy Caprice
Chevy Tahoe's
I'm just glad that my state isn't the state with the special squad that rides on Suzuki Hayabusas. Oh god, that would be bad, nothing short of a 200mph car would be able to excape.

Well, considering Busa's can supposedly hit over 220 with the restrictors removed, I'd say basically everyone and everything is effed. Definitely glad I don't live in an area like that. Hell, most of the time the police around here don't even bother chasing bikes.
God, having Busa cops would be like living in Italy where they cruise around in a couple Lambo's....not fair.

RE: What do the cops drive in your state?
We have a strip notorious for street racing and the state funds in something like 60-80 thousand dollars a year for extra police help... So the cars they come out with tend to be interesting... This year i've seen
ford 500
ford expedition
ford explorer
This weekend- 8 Police interceptors
Honda civic SI- shocked me
Two chargers of course
Camaro
Two motorcycles
2 dodge stratos'
Mind you this is one strip of highway that is about 8 miles long... You cannot go more than one stop light before you see another car pulled over...
I'm trying to make a nice video to show you guys just quite what it's like... Here's it's website www.thepike.com

RE: What do the cops drive in your state?
Here in Cali you have your standard Crown Vics, Camaros, Expeditions, Dodge trucks, and BMW bikes. The CHP had a pilot program where they were trying out some Volvo S-70T's here in the Stockton area, but I have yet to see any of them.
Here in Stockton, I see cops driving around in Crown Vics and Dodge Durangos.
