Dude just relise that if a girl isn't satisfied with who she is seeing, then she will go looking elsewhere. I have a strong feeling the this is what #1 is doing. I can compleatly understand if you have a bad taste in your mouth about the hole thing. Also just as a side note. Don't let the girl know that you are in it for a long term relationship to start with. If she's up for it you wont have to tell her. It just works better that way.

 

And oftentimes, a girl who is as satisfied as she can be will go looking elsewhere for any number of reasons. Attention, thrill, malice, whatever. My vote would still be cast in favor of avoiding the girls with a known and well documented history of infidelity. this one has cheated in previous relationships, she's obviously not much better about it now, since she's been exploring her options with you.

Look, I don't try to act like my soul is intertwined with some great moral fervor, as quite a few of the girls I've dated had boyfriends when I met them and dumped them for me (or didn't dump them at all in some cases). You can probaby deduce the reasons that my relationships ended with those particular girls. Astoundingly, they left me the instant that some shiny new thing came along.

Think about it as if you were investing money. Risk versus reward. You want something deep and meaningful, and this girl has a track-record of gratuitous frivolity (for you, AWDaholic), that is to say she obviously doesn't take her relationships very seriously. Immediate conflict of interests, right there. All of this for a girl who is only a little better than others you're interested in (and let's face it, she can only be a little better than Girl 2, or else you wouldn't be entertaining the possibiliy of Girl 2 to begin with).

And if she's not up for it, he won't know until months down the road, all the while having built an attachment to her while she was just playing around. No, if long-term is what you're looking for, and the girl in question seems viable, you should let her know in the first few weeks that you're looking for more than just a fling. If she's not up for it, it's best to find out sooner rather than later.
