Im about to purchas a new nikon D60 and im pumped. Being in the Air force i travel alot and the ol' point a shot camera isnt cutting it anymore. Having taken a photagraphy class in highschool(even though the class sucked and we f-ed off most of the time) i know a few things about cameras, not as much dSLR. If anyone has imput or has a D60 please share what you think. or what camera are you rockin and how do you like it?

 

I have a Nikon D80 and it's pretty good. Low light sucks so im looking at upgrading to the D300s or something. However where i work now (Largest photography studio in my city) I get to play with really fun cameras like the Canon 5D mkII!

Notta at the moment, Broke mine dropped it on 4th of july when i was with my lil cousins watching a parade, was a panasonic lumix tz5 (i think ) haha.

need to start shoppin around.

Thinking about a DSLR here someday in the future, i really know nothing about them or prof. type photography, but would like to learn... so, idk... guess ill wait till i have money to buy one

Anyways Krip if you wanna sell/trade me your D90 real cheap like (I mean straight up for my D60 that would be awesome)


I have a D60 if you couldn't tell, I like it well enough and it's a great started camera, but it lacks a few things that would make it a bit better in my eye, like faster FPS, more buttons to quickly change settings instead of having to go into the menu, the screw AF motor so my 50 prime would AF, etc.


But it's a great starter camera, I'm just gonna save up for the D700 or what ever it's replacement is by the time I can afford one so I have a good sports camera that is also sick with low light and everything else.

 

yea i was just talking to a buddy that said i should go canon... and CAB509 if you get that D90 ill take that D60 off your hands for real cheep also lol

Side note: My GF's brother just shipped out to Okinawa last wed, Hes in the marines and is gonna be stationed there for about the next 2 years while on stand by for Afghanistan. (of which he is not to happy about after Iraq twice)

 

Just upgraded from a D40x to a D90. So far I am loving it.
