Okay, so the resulting pictures are interesting. It's a cool idea. But why the hell couldn't they have used CG or a mockup? Honestly, I will never understand the whole point of destroying or defacing something beautifulin the name of "art". I guess I just "don't get it".

This is almost as bad as crushing the 911 for the sake of art. What a waste of perfectly fine machines.

 

I didn't like it. I know it's only one car, but that's still pretty disgusting. Sure, the model was hot, but they didn't have to waste a car to make that clear.

 

A waste of a TT but they had some good shots, that's for sure. Though, I too was wondering why they didn't use fake parts to take the shots. Gotta love that model too. Where can I find more pictures of the shoot?

 

I'm sure the magazine that ran the pics probably has a website. I'd check there.

 

That's what they should've done. Put in some plastic pieces, minus the engine, tranny, and the other vitals, and from that angle, no one would ever know.
