What’s the Difference Between Braces and Clear Aligners
Braces are the traditional way of straightening teeth. The brackets are attached to the back of each tooth, with wire connecting these brackets to close any gaps in between teeth.
Clear aligners are a more modern take on teeth alignment. They work by gently pushing the teeth into the desired position. They are typically made out of clear plastic that is molded to fit your mouth and then worn for about two weeks at a time.
Braces are traditionally thought to be more painful than clear aligners because they need constant adjustments for what you’re eating. In addition, they have cost a lot more than clear aligners, require in-person appointments and the average treatment time is much longer.
