they have some pretty good deals on there... when they claim it has flood damage, what would need to be replaced/fixed on the car, anyone know??

 

"Flood damaged cars come in three basic stages, from what I understand.
Carpets wet. Water entered the car enough to cover the carpets in water.
Seats wet. Water entered the car enough to cover the bottom part of the seat (where your @$$ goes) in water.
Engine wet. The water was deep enough to cver the engine in water.

Carpets... You'll pretty much need to strip out and replace the carpets after drying everything under there out.

Seats... Same as above PLUS, you'll prolly hafta replace the seats.

Engine... Fuhgheddabouddit!!!

Other things to consider:
Fresh/Salt/Brackish water
Fresh water... Not much to worry about except making sure everything is THOUROUGHLY DRYED OUT!!!
Salt water... You'll hafta clean AWAY ALL the saltyness, then DRY EVERYTHING THOUROUGHLY!!!
Brackish water... FUHGHEDDABOUDDIT!!!

 

haha thanks... i think i might invest in one of the porsches...not one with water damage though, one from canada, ithas some back wheel damage and its going for a really low price.. i'll pay for parts and pops can do the work !!

 

there's a couple guys on here who work for insurance companys, who can prolly give a much better explaination than I did. Mines is basic, fundamental info. Anybody with a better take is welcome to one-up me!
