Default Well, got a "new" car

Well finnally got rid of the gas guzzling beast of a Jeep, and bought this. 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL. Its the car she wanted. its a great car only 80000 miles on it. (I have 83000) it drives nice and has a big V8. tell me what you think.

Sorry about the poor quality pictures. the sun wouldnt cooperate

Outstanding! She's got good taste in cars. We don't see 79's that look that good up here very often, unless they've been stored. Damn salt.

I absolutely love the SL. Did you find that the paint has oxidized a little ?

Im not sure it was originally a creme color the previous owner had it painted 2001 Mercedes firemist red.

On the Evo MR, sometimes you have to give a little, and i was more than happy to "give in"

No i really like the car the SL is one of my favorite models. The only problem is that when the top is off and your driving theres a whistleing coming from the passenger side. almost like its comin from the mirror.

And it was a great price. I was able to sell the V10 to some guy on a ranch who wants to tow a 40ft boat. with that money i only had to pay 1200 dollars on top of what i got. and believe me this car gets better gas mileage.
