Default Warranty Laws

Can anyone find me a link or something that shows the law that says a warranty can not be voided just due to one part that was changed on your car that has nothing to do with the repair you need. There has been talk on this subject before but I cant find it. My warranty dealer is trying to void my whole warranty cuz I have BBS wheels. Help me if you can please.

Thanks, Jimmy

I just bought the car (2001.5 S4) a few weeks ago and the guy had an extended warranty that could be transfered. We sent in the paperwork to do the transfer and they called and said that the last repair they did they noticed the car had 17 in BBS wheels and a shifter and boost gage so they refused the transfer and voided the warranty. I just needed to get a CV boot fixed but now I gotta fight with this Warranty company. Its called AWB. (Auto Warranty Brokers)... Any advice from anyone? The fine print does say not to change anything such as wheels, tires, exhaust... etc..

Then I am pretty sure they are within their rights to void their coverage. Sounds harsh but the paperwork is clear on their policies. If you or the previous owner decided to change the wheels, thats the risk you run.

did the previous owner imply that the warranty was still covered? Did you read the paperwork before you bought it? Or did you go off of his word? Might be able to stick the previous owner with the bill.. if he made it seem like the warranty was still valid when he sold you the car
