Family just aquired a 2007 volvo s60 and its really smooth. Not a monster in the power department but 2.5l 5cyl turbo is easy on gas and a nice ride. They are pretty reasonable in price and they are very comparable to audis in the comfort department. Good luck

 

They handle pretty well, but I think Audi's Quattro would tear apart their AWD system.

 

my last car was a '94 850, and there is an S60 R in the car club I'm in... it's way fast. I'd take an s60 over a4 and an s60r over an s4 anyday.

 

The S60 R's are nothing to mess with. They are quick as hell. I owned a regular S60 2.5t and the interior on that was much nicer than my A6 actually. The leather feels better and the seats in the Volvo are much more comfortable. It's just a matter of preference. Reliability is awesome too. I owned my Volvo for over a year and never had an issue. My A6 was in the shop more times that I can count within the first 6 months. I traded the Volvo in because I thought the A6 would have been much better. If I ever get rid of the A6, it will be for a new R.

 

If you are talking about Matt powers then he is at 360whp. BUT, as soon as Atspeed is done fixing it... it will be an amazing machine!

 

Im not a fan of newer volvo's. Im a fan of the the ones during the 90's.
