Very important! 2003 Jetta stalling while running.
Hey everyone I need urgent help with my sister's 2003 Jetta 1.8 turbo. This morning she called me telling that her car stalled out while driving at about 55 mph twice. At both instances she says that it jerked hard like as if someone jammed a metal rod thru the front wheels and it threw the shifter out of 5th gear then the engine stopped. Both times the battery light flashed fast. She managed to pull over safely both times hence the lack of traffic given the time of day and when she attempted to restart the car it was hard to start and once it finally started it ran fine like nothing happen. it had done this before and we replaced the battery because it was in bad shape and it had stopped doing that for like a month until this morning. Battery was purchased early in September 2013. I'm super worried that this car is going to stall out on her in heavy traffic sooner or later and she gets rear ended. Thank God the all the times its done it it has been while driving in open country back roads or early in the morning when there is no traffic at all. The car becomes hard to control due to the loss of power steering. I'd appreciate it a lot because this is a safety issue that concerns me hella a lot.

I have a 98 audi a4 1.8t i had almost the same issue i had a couple things done and it hasnt done it since. First i would try cleaning the throttle body and see how it runs and i had the tranny flushed too but idk if that will help, but definitely try the throttle body cleaner.
