anybody heading to the US grand prix in indianapolis next weekend? i'm heading out with 5 or 6 buddies and camping for a couple nights. it's sure to be a great time with nice cars, lots of beverages, campfires and crazy parties in the campground. if you've never been, i highly encourage it, even if you don't go to the race.

I'm into F1, but Indy is not the track or the race that I would blow the serious F1 race going money on. I'm hoping to get to one soon.

I'll be watching on tv, so wear some bright colors and wave to the camera. And have a blast partying while camping.

what's this about racing in Chicago? i haven't heard anything about that.

pturbo: i'm with you on the track, the us needs a better venue for the grand prix. there's rumors out there now about a vegas street race in 2007 or 2008. that would be amazing. also, F1 Racing had an article recently about Schumacher starting an Audi F1 team when he retires. if that ever happened, i think i'd go crazy.

the race actually isn't that expensive to attend, you can get a three day pass for $60 or pay $75 and up for grandstand seats on raceday. compared to other f1 races, it's ridiculously cheap.

That is cheap compared to Europe and other venues. I want to go to one of the tracks in Germany I think. Or maybe San Marino. Where I'll probably end up going first though is Canada. I do like that track though.

I know you'll have a god time partying anyway. I used to go to races at Laguna Seca and we would stay up with a lot of people in the infield to party at night. Those are some good times.

good times indeed. i think san marino or monza would be my top choices. spa would be tops if it were on the calendar for the year. i think montreal would be a great time. we talked about heading up there but decided to stick with indy this year. maybe next summer.
