Default Trunk gun

Greetings all,

I recently picked up a 11.5 inch AR braced pistol...I know perhaps the thread should be in the handgun section...but the question is more for long guns.

I was planning to keep this in my trunk and I am currently running an Eotech on it. It gets pretty hot in there, other than battery life should I be concerned about some sort of other possible more catastrophic problem?

Any thoughts or experience on this subject.

Thanks

Can't speak to Eotech specifically, but in Iraq and Kuwait I had an M68 optic on my rifle. Temps up to 120 pretty regularly, maybe a little higher. Never had a problem.

I do not know that firearms cannot be kept in rooms with elevated temperatures. It doesn't matter if you keep a short-barreled or a firearm in the trunk. It is important to maintain a certain humidity, as far as I know. If the place of weapons storage is in a damp room (for example, in the basement), then the weapon that has not been cleaned in a hurry will gain moisture and rust in a couple of days. Moisture-proof safes eliminate this problem. Of course, it is necessary to choose a quality product — ballachy.com. A lot depends on this, too. Good luck!

So this is a very important question. I advise you to be careful. You can also read this articlehttps://www.agmglobalvision.com/the_famous_us_weapon about weapons and maybe you will find useful tips there. I can advise you that you should not keep a gun in the trunk of a car when it is hot outside.
