towtruck tows B7 A4... on rotors?!

Seriously, it would have cost next to nothing to get four donuts. I really don't buy the story that they were waiting for new wheels to come in from the dealership. If he owns an S4, he has the money to spring for new stock wheels/tires and then wait for insurance to reimburse him.

I'm sure if the owners knew that they're car would get towed, they would have tried to come up with something else. To me, it looks like that lady doesn't know a thing about cars, let alone how the hell to get 4 brand new wheels onto the car. I don't think even the local Audi dealership would have 4 steelies to fit an A4, let alone an S4. If the car had been stripped down to a shell, that would be one thing. But that is freaking stupid. Plus, if the owners themselves had taken the wheels off because they were waiting for new wheels and left it sitting on the street for a week. There car was vandalized for crying out loud.

Yeah it may seem f'd up but here's the deal - you can't leave cars like that on the road.
Even 4 donuts would have gotten them up onto a driveway or something. Just because you were vandalized or had your rims stolen doesn't it make it okay to ignore a city ordanance. We hear it all the time here.
You have a nice ride like that and you leave it up on blocks?? that's gonna f up your underside paint.
Locally here they tag such vehicles and after 48 hrs they call us out to pull them.
All I have to say is there is no reason for that car (especially that car) to have been up on blocks for a week.
So she got it towed. That's what happens when you yourself ignore the law.
That's why you have insurance to cover this kind of stuff. and if she didn't have the proper coverage then again - it's on her.

well maybe the owner knows nothing about cars and didnt know she could get other wheels to fit in the meantime... im sorry, but if this happened to me i would take my M4 and go on a shooting spree, starting at the scumbag's towyard.. lol.. But, I used to live with two towtruck drivers and they were cool, but on the job they were complete ******** that only cared about making their buck.
I think the city should pay for the damages, because all in all its their fault... the tow driver (as much as he probably enjoyed it) was still only following orders...

I don't know how long the car was left on blocks but I know it takes a long time for the insurance company to send you a check. Then you have to go and order the wheels and wait even longer. It's b/s to think they have no alternatives then to **** up your car while putting it on a towtruck.

I like were your going with this what if it came off the cinder blocks and like launched threw the air like a 4000lbs projectile and crashed into a school bus killing 400 children then what. Then the tow truck driver pulls his piece and offs himself because he can't deal with the fact he just killed 800 children. Then the whole thing gets blamed on the neighbor for calling the police in the first place. then the parents of the 1200 dead children start rioting then the whole city riots then president Bush drops a nulear bomb on them to stop rioting. Then Keanu Reeves shows up and is like your planet? My planet. then the whole world blows up and we all die. all because some stupid lady with a badge wouldn't do her job. See what happens when your lazy, you end up blowing up the whole world. based off a true story.
but yeah, get 4 doughnuts and move it. I have two stock dodge tires on my chevy just so I can move it from time to time til I get new rims.

I dont know about you, but after I dry my car and it sits for maaaaaybe and hour, rust begins to form on the rotors. After a night of rain here at school I'll come out and there will be a little rust on the rotors. At home its very dry, and ever here in Boulder its really dry. Rust forms quickly on rotors, especially if they're not covered by a rim for a little protection.
