Actually, it's 3.5 tonnes - it's 2000 lbs per ton, mate 
My flatbed tow trucks are 15,000 lbs GVW - that's 7.5 tonnes
But even at a 6000 lb curbweight - that's 1000 heavier than a Ford F150! [:-]

Thats rediculous... the toureg itself weighed 7 tons... 4.3 tonnes of metal ballast... how were the wheels and tires holding that much weight...

Volkswagen’s mighty V10 Touareg TDI managed to pull a Boeing 747-200 jumbo jet, weighing approximately 155 tonnes, across a runway at Dunsfold Aerodrome in the UK. Fitted with a special towing adaptor to connect it to the jet’s undercarriage, plus almost 4.3 tonnes of metal ballast, the Touareg itself weighed in at over 7 tonnes.

lol yea that would be funny, thought its really not that big of a deal just beacuase its that heavy doesnt mean its rolling weight and how much resistance is that high, Im pretty sure many other little suv's and cars could do that, **** i towed a full size chevy truck up a hill with my buddies neon
