7 came in today from the storms last night in the chicagoland area. There was no power in the dealership all day, and itsgoing to be hell tomorrow. bahahahhahhaha

Generally, if the water gets over the top of the seat cushions (the bottom part of the seat, not the backrest), the insurance companies will write it off. Too many unknowns, and they end up paying unending supplemental repair bills. Occaisionally, you may find one that's been 'totaled' in error, due to a lazy adjuster, or a persistant insured (who makes it clear he's not going to be at all happy with a repaired car - it's gets totaled to quiet a squeeky wheel). If you think you've got a handle on one of these, maybe you'll want to roll the dice. To make out on buying one, you'll need a good parts source (with a discount); a top-notch technician to fix all the bugs, and a lot of patience.
