i work at a resturant but if i eat there they will let me eat for free so that means an amazingly high tip[:@]

i rememeber i used to work at the Olive Garden as a host, it was a good job
i remember i brought my parents there and all the waiter fight for you
cause they kno you'll tip big[:@]

i remember the worse experiance was when we went to this chinese restrurant, they had decent service snd food
we tipped them decent cause my dad isnt like that he always tips the normal causes hes to damn nice
when we were leaving the waiter had the nerve to stop us at te door and say we didnt tip enough
i was like excuss me, my dad was like wutever and though like 2 bucks at them
i think that is so fukked up, we never ate at that place again

im too into the resturant business, i hope to open one wit my bro and our friend who is like a brother

I feel you man, don't know what is gettin into people these days thinking that you owe them, regardless of how good they did there job. As for the eating at the place you work, I served myself. no one ever served me.

Assuming you wern't 'on the clock' yet, you were served as a customer. Unless you prepared and served the food yourself, you should leave a tip as if you were in any restaurant.

ORIGINAL: Redgoat

No, you shouldnt tip..

Tipping is Gratuity for service... not reqiured by any means.. but it pisses me off that its expected. I guarantee you didnt get the exact same service as a customer did.. did you?
Probably will never get that type of service, especially since he's employed there. IMO, you are correct in not tipping.

do an alright job, you'll get an allright tip. do a steller job and I will make it worth you while. I look at the time spent, and effort taken by the person doing the job. if they go out of the way to help me, I will do the same.
