Default thoughts on water repelants

i tried rain-x new "windshield wax" and hate it. anybody else try this? i followed the directions but there are still streaks. it got better when i re-treated it with the regular liquid rain-x.
anybody use rain-x for extented period of time and are there any bad consequences to the windshield from prolonged use?

I use regular rain-x. Think it's great. I haven't heard of this new one though.

we use regular rain-x on all of our cars (my family) and love it. the long you go without using your wipers, the longer it will last (obviously). i dont know about the long term use, but it should be fine.

i have it on all my windows but the front right now (testing it out) seems fine so far

giving it a re-do and getting the front windshield done when it warms up.

how hard is it to apply, will it stop my windshield from fogging up in the morning?

^^^It's pretty simple to apply. Its almost like a wax where you have to apply it to a haze and then really work it off. I usually do like 2 times just to cover it all. And the effects are amazing.

apg... as far as the fogging goes... i dont know... never really noticed...

i have used the regular liquid rain-x. its good and easy to use. i was talking about the new rain-x WAX. it is easy to apply BUT a bit@h to get off.
fyi, they also make something else to apply to the inside of the window called anti-fog. used that once too, but again, easy to apply, hard to get off (mostly because its harder to maneuver on the interior of the car) i just decided to stop with the panting and heavy breathing inside my car and that seems to decrease the inside fog on the windows
