Default They called it 'Snowplow'

Dunno 'bout you, but I got some snow over the weekend.

Last night we figured we'd see if we could form a drift chain with a bunch of cars, but underestimated how much snow we actually got.

For starters, and you can imagine this by the pic, I had PILES of snow being thrown on my windshield. Like, black out, no light from the headlights, no light getting thru the windshield even if the lights weren't submerged in snow.

Later on, as my engine compartment filled with snow, my serp belt started slipping, and a bit after that, snow packed in the pulleys so much that it derailed the belt. Just made it home on the battery as the cluster started going haywire. Last 1/4 mile I turned the headlights off just to be sure I'd be able to keep it running to the driveway.

I think in all we got about 2 feet. When that pic was taken we probably had between 12-15"

matt why do you abuse your car that much? lol looks like you need something to block the snow from coming through the grilles. that's a great deal of snow, i wish we got that much. i went drifting earlier today and had a blast. also learned something new about how my car reacts. any pics of the other cars?

Bad thing about doing that, other than icing up the serp pullies, is completely blocking the radiator and overheating... buddy did that to his car and dropped a valve right after blowing a gasket...

Burlington reported 33 inches. i packed so much snow in that my air intake stopped pulling enough air to keep the car idling...and the air filter was just a giant ice/snow chunk when i pulled it out today. Good storm

^^LOL wtf, Jackson?

We've had a fair amount of snow here in DSM; first big one was the Wednesday before Christmas, we got about 15". Then about another 8" a few days later, and just last week we got a nice 1"-2" dusting, and now it's just ball-shrinking cold outside. Blizzard conditions forecast for tomorrow, we'll see how that goes

...and now I'll hand it off to our sports director for a bowl season update!
