LOL, yup! Thats my weapon of choice! It was between the D40x and the D80. My uncle had the D80 so I got to play around with it for a while and loved it! THere are really only one thing It had that it doesn't and thats a lower ISO setting. The lowest it goes is ISO 100. Which isn't all that bad but I wish it was lower like 80 or something. Oh well...

I am excited too because last weekend I broke my POS plastic tripod so it gave me an excuse to order a new one. It should be here today. It's a Manfrotto tripod w/a pistol grip head and quick release. Cost $250 for both the legs and head and a carrying bag for it. I will post a picture of my entire setup once the tripod gets here. Now all I need is a wide-angle lens (min of $600 of a good one) and a nice slave flash (min $250 for a good one). Then later down the road when I start to do studio stuff I will get some hot lights (min for a nice 3 light kit $1400).

For a point and shoot thats a decent camera! It has a low ISO and a good f/stop at f/2.8. To get the best pictures make sure to NEVER go above an ISO 400! I shoot pretty much EVERYTHING at an ISO 100 or 200. It will make your pictures less grainy, unless you want to have a grainy picture for some effects. The only downside is you will have to shoot at a slower shutter speed which means if your in a low light condition you will want to use a tri-pod for anything under 1/30th of a sec. or else your pictures most likely will be blurry.

Josh

P.S. Post up some pictures you have taken.
