I was into cars since very young age. By 13 I knew I wanted to mod whatever car I was gonna get...so I started saving my money. At 16 I bought a 2000 1.8t for $9,200 at auction. By this point I was working about 30 hours a week and in summer full time. This allowed me to invest another $7,000 into it worth of mods. So yes... I do go to high school, and happen to have a flip out DVD monitor in my car...but I payed for it by myself!

Eversince ive been working whenever i could, and have been working for the last few days cuz im on intersession. Not going newhere for spring break, working instead. Need $$ for the chip, tires, dv, and boost gauge. oh yea, and some of this $$ has to last me thru the sesmster....hmm...should be working a lot in the next few days and months. btw, im 18 now...

^^How did you pull that job? That sounds ideal. I'd love to work at a Euro mechanic's shop.

And I'm 17, and my parents bought and currently insure my 99 Audi A4. The deal is simple: I get this car as a gift, I have to drive my siblings around and the things my parents ask me to do with my car take priority over the things I want to do with it, and if I raise the insurance premium in any way, accidents, tickets, any claims, whatever, I pay the increase. I don't feel bad about it. Well, yeah, I do. And I've got more than one job lined up after hockey season and into the summer so I can make my own money. It's about self-respect more than independence for me.

isnt this "&" the ampersand?

anyways yeah my brother is 23 and he has had.. hold on its hard to count the cars i'll write a list

Beige 1989 BMW 325(e?)
White 1989 BMW 325(e?) with lightmods and bodykit (set up for autoXing)
Green 1995 Pontiac Bonneville (long story, random car)
Red 198X Dodge Omni (another long story)
Black 1992 BMW 318is with light mods and major stereo setup
Red 1982 (or 83?) Porsche 944 non-turbo
Black 1998 BMW 540i med. mods
Pearl (dunno year) Audi 5000cs (profit car)

Right now he still has the porsche, got the white bmw back a few months ago, still has the 540, just sold the 5000cs for twice the price he bought it for.

sounds crazy though, has owned 4 BMW's, a Porsche, an Audi, and a couple of other random cars, and as much as 4 of them at the same time. but all of them except the 540 cost well under $10k

and also, i will DEFINATELY pay back my parents for atleast my car when i have the money to do it. hopefully college too but fat chance.

im 17 and have a 96 A4 2.8L i paid $8200 about 2 months ago (50K miles) for it all of my money , in return my parents said they'd pay for insurance until i moved out on my own. i pay for my own gas and mods of course. i work 2 jobs ..kind of and whenever i get **** for having an audi at 17 i get pissed because i paid for all of it myself and i hate the stereotype that u must be rich and spoiled to own one of these cars. before this i had a modded out accord
