I do the same "to give information free makes me feel good",

the idea of the post was to point out how far things have come along since the carburettor engines to today's fuel injection the lad bringing the laptop into the car cracked me up because there was no way he could tune the carburetors in there, it made me feel quite old seeing all the latest stuff I mean wow how things have changed

Personally, I feel kinda privilidges to be at the crucible of this new WAVE of technology that is sweeping through this passion we all share. Audi (our beloved Audi) is poised to usher in a heretofore unheard of advancement in racing technology with a diesel racing engine for Le Mans. It's been more than fifty (50) years since NEone has tried NEthing even close to that. Talk about old-meets-new!!!

The fact that I'm old, and experienced, enough to know and remember not only what a carbuerator IS, but understand teh principles on which it works, AND be able to understand all this new-fangled technology enough to know where and how to hook up my laptop to the thingamajiggy and run teh whichamacallit so I can download the whoosaframmitz and ..., uhhh... nevermind

Still, it make me feel good to know that I was able to pass on some of what I know. Knowing that, even if I don't make tomorrow's sunrise, all that I've learned wont pass with me. It goes on, even if I dont... <sniff-sniff> GROUP-HUG... C'Mon, guys!!! GUYS?!?!?
