We were lucky, no choppers. But its still kinda amazing how freaking big some of the transport planes are.

That reminds me of a pregnant fish.

I have not made it to the show in 10 yrs. its just not as entertaining if im not on the water ducking every time the jets buzz over head.

Reminds me of the 747-400 Large Cargo Transports that Boeing made specifically to transport large portions of their new 787 Dreamliner for assembly:

^^ Those C-5's are huge. We would occassionally tear down our Chinook's and load them on the C-5 for loadout practice. It's amazing how much crap you can fit inside one of those.

And you definitely know when they take off fully loaded. They make one hell of asound.

Those C5 Hercules look like they're moving 5mph in the air. Makes you think it should just drop out of the sky.

I grew up in Colorado Springs and went to high school on the Air Force Academy. They'd let us off all afternoon the Friday before the Academy graduation because the flyovers with the Thunderbirds and other aircraft disrupted all of the classes. It was a great time to sit outside, talking with friends, and watching the free air show.
