Damn, two hernias?? I had surgery at the beginning of my eighth grade year to repair an inguinal hernia. I'm pretty sure it was indirect, since it just kind of showed up.

Good luck with your surgery, Jeff - hope all goes well. The biggest thing I disliked about my surgery was getting the IV jammed into my arm, only to have them yank it back out because they said I was too tense (they waited until I'd been gassed to try it again). Can't say that I've had anything done that required physical therapy, though.

Thats not a surgery.....LOL I thought it was something serious.....like an angiogram or a splenectomy or open brain surgury. Good luck by the way.

I've had THREE inguinal hernias.
Ages 8, 11, and 20. First was on the left, second happened because they didn't put mesh in or something, so same side, and third was on the right side.

That had to suck. It sort of runs in my family, so I wasn't too surprised when I found out I had one. They only put a little bit of mesh in for mine...hope it doesn't come back.

I've had....

Numerous amounts of stitches on my head, not to mention the woulds I should have gotten stitched but used tape instead....LOL

Splenectomy

2 plates and 13 pins in my left forearm

Brain surgery

not to mention I broke both wrists at the same time playing football in HS, broke both bones in my left forearm in a car accident, broken 2 ribs, and broke my right leg in 2 spots in a motorcycle accident.

I'm like the Energizer bunny......LOL

I of am the firm belief that once it is fixed, it is fixed for good. The Doc said I shouldn't have to worry about them again.
