Default Sup ya'll... everythings falling into place

Sup everyone, not sure who is still around that I used to B.S with.

Well, anyways... Graduated college in June, moved back home (Warrenton, Or) to live with my parents (for free) and help open our new warehouse back in November. I work for Costco have for 7+ years, started after H.S., worked for 2 years before heading to college, and to keep my seniority and stuff, I transferred back and forth between my home and a warehouse by my college, working limited hours during the school year. My parents idea really, which was nice... i helped out, they paid for school and stuff, i paid for living expenses, it was a fair deal.

Anyways, upon graduating I began applying for Costco's Corporate offices. I went through one interview process, making it from 21 down to final 3, didnt get it. o well.

So, back in December I applied for the position I really really wanted in the first place, a position my degree fits into perfectly, ill explain in a min.

well, I got a letter saying the position was closed for legitimate business reasons. ok, try again later. Well, about a month ago I got an email from the manager of the dept. asking if i was still interested. I said yes, and thus began the interviewing process all over again, luckily i had gained some valuable interviewing experience with the first bout.

So, long story short. 50 people. I got down to final 6. made two trips to Issaquah, Wa. where the corporate offices are, and a few weeks later, I got it! Woot! Im so stoked. I start on the 22nd of this current month.

The position is ICS Imports (Inventory Control Specialist). Basically, I will work with a team of about 25 or so other ICS'ers that have many job functions. Primarily, we act as a liaison for the buyers to the manufactures of products all over the world, involving everything Costco imports. Secondly, we assist in product decision making, we help do all the quality analysis (set up displays of the product and pretty much play with it, test it, find out its weaknesses, strenghts, etc) then suggest changes to the manufacture/buyer, suggest product packaging plans, know the manufacturer laws, know the import laws, control the flow of the product all the way from the assembly line across seas, to the floor of Costco. Its pretty baller. The job encompasses a lot, and i cant wait. I was told that it will take roughly a year to fully understand the job, to get everything down, that's pretty much the standard.

So, all in all, after I get settled, find a place to live, start saving up to buy a house in the future, I'm hoping I will be able to get back into another Audi I really like the A3 (as some of my old homies know) TDI. Cept, its a b!tch it isn't AWD. Ughh... makes me not even want it. haha.

Aww thanks ya'll... your sweet

Cab - i didn't know that, dam... you get hurt? what happened? if theres a thread on it you can just link it or something if you dont wanna type it all out. The X is running great, I love having it on the beach now that I am home from college, thing tears around. That and, since i lifted it and put new tires and stuff, this winter for boarding, thing was unstoppable. hardly ever had to use 4wd, the VDC system is freakin amazing (Vehicle Dynamic Control) that and its fun to turn it off and tear up the snow covered parking lots. I member you talking about gettin an SUV eventually, glad to hear it worked out, but under sh!tty circumstances.

We had some local mountain passes and logging roads get some decent snow, as they always do, so i spent a good amt. of time playing around up there, here are a few pics i took (nothing special) trying to get truck of the month on the X forum i am on.

Random photo, didnt submit this for anything. The bitter cold weather we had here on the coast this year, which is rare, we never get 20 deg. or lower weather, made the plastic trim look all frost bitten, it was crazy.

hey chris! good to hear you got that job! I worked at costco too and I know that they treat their employees well with regards to moving up with seniority and such so its good to see that you are getting patted on the back for all your work.

Jazz, I might be up in portland (from my college in corvallis) this weekend and i could make the trip to beaverton if you can't find anyone else, and don't mind having a college student going to look at it :]

There is a thread here somewhere but I don't mind typing it again, basically I feel asleep at the wheel while driving back from my house to a waterski tournament, ended up saving the car from hitting a cement wall at 75 and instead hit a guard rail at about 40-50ish. Totaled the A4, but I was perfectly fine, my ankle was a bit swollen the next day but not to bad. Luckily I was alone in the car when it happened. Also the airbags did not deploy which was the only slightly scary thing but I think I would have been more hurt if they had deployed so..kinda happy they didn't.

And yeah after some searching I found me a Radar Red Durango with a 5.9, basically everything I wanted in an SUV

here's the A after the crash...bye bye 12v.

and here's the new Truck which I'm really happy with, except for every so often I'll miss the A4 and I always am missing driving a stick but can live with it.
