Just had an LMTV roll over... today could be interesting...

 

OK, so, up @ 0430, to go and qual for my Armed Security Registration for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Haven't qual'd on an handgun in a decade. 270 outta 300. Min qual is 225.

Real shooters KNOW anything LESS than 300 is bolo. My 270 means 6 rounds went wide. 6 potential killed or wounded innocent bystanders.

But, I qual'd.

Gonna pick up some "floater" work with my company (we current;y only have one "armed" site, so, not much work to be had.

Once my registration is complete I'm gonna start searching for a GSA position. GSA pays $18 - $24+/hour (starting), in this region. Not bad for a part-time gig, huh?

That was how I spent MY Sunday morning, this Sunday.

 

sloppy seconds this Sunday... Just woke up.

 

Jazz, congrats on qualifying. chalk up your "misses" to nerves from not having had to shoot for a long time. Or maybe because you're old


A slow Sunday here so far. Getting prepped to tackle some house cleaning (ughh). The sun is shining but it is much colder than it has been in a long time. I'm definitely not acclimated. Luckily there is always more coffee...

Jazz you should try the new OPATA standards. It's ALL move and shoot no standing still... I pulled a few my first time, being a smaller built guy holding a .40 in my weak hand only, while walking across the target was a challenge!
