STI or EVO VIII

RE: STI or EVO VIII
As people have said, as stock, Evo better track car, STi better daily driver. STi pulls harder, and has slightly more muted steering compared to the Evo's hair-trigger column (great on track but not so great at 6am in the morning on the freeway as your just waking up).
I am a huge SWRT fan and grew up with STi's so it was a non-issue with me. 2005 onwards STi's much better interiors from Saab, plus they re-addressed the "bugeye" front end (i'm not a fan but some people liked it).
Grip on both is phenomenal, and both will spank our new 2006 RS4 if the stats Audi have released are accurate. (However, I see the RS4 should be hitting low 4's, not high?)
Both great cars though for performance. And the UK FQ400 is F-ING ridiculous! Bye bye Carrera GT!!

exactly.. those are some good points you make there.. each has its ups and downs though.. one is better for track.. one is better for daily driving.. and if you want to throw the RS4 in there.. then one is better all around with more class

Seriously though, I think the new RS4 will better the times that Audi is releasing. I think they are pulling the old BMW trick and being very conservative with their figures. (I freakin' hope they are, because I want one but expect better than 4.8 for $75K, especially when a $50K S4 hits 5 flat?)
Before you guys beat on me I'm not saying the STi is overall a better car than the RS4, of course not. But it will be a better performance machine.
