ORIGINAL: beefski

It was $47 shipped for two front lines. They seem very well made. Double crimping on each end. DOT approved.
$47 for a ******* metal cable with a piece of plastic covering it? CAR PARTS ARE SO OVERPRICED ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY!

They are high pressure lines. I paid $50 for the two rear lines and they were rubber.

I got fronts & rears from www.BlauParts.com, I think it was, for something like $95.00, braided stainless-steel. haven't gotten around to putting them on, yet, but I've got some timne off scheduled for thanksgiving week and I plan to do Hawk pads, the SS lines, and a fluid flush and refill (with a higher boiling-point fluid I picked up from THESE FOLKS), to go along with the drilled/slotted rotors I've been sporting since last november.

BTW, if you've got D'd&S'd rotors I do NOT recommend you go with ceramic pads. They tend to deflect heat BACK into the rotors and, with all that material missing, they may not be able to handle it. I've had to replace two sets of rotors, so far, due to minute cracks around teh holes, but my last set of pads were non-ceramic, so I'll have a good look at how they wear on teh rotors next week.

AWD, you should def check out the website in my first post.. They have all types of specialty lines. Fuel, vaccum etc.
I did the brake fluid flush, man the old stuff was completely black. Used a full large container of new dot4 fluid and needed a bit more to get the resivor to the full mark. Hopefully this weekend I can get to the front lines.
