This is what I told denisbin in an earlier post:

[sm=badidea.gif] Spinners do NOT belong on an Audi!!!!!

An Escalade, maybe.

Spinners weigh like 50+ pounds a wheel... vag cars have enough wheel bearing problems as it is. Throw spinners on a TT and you'll turn a nice somewhat nimble car into something... worse.

To each his own, but I know that I'd die a little inside if I saw an Audi with them... stop beside me wheels still spinnin and blingin! hahahaha :P

Seriously though... not a good move. Cosmetically, or performance wise... terrible. I thought this thread was going to be a joke when I first saw it... then I didn't recognize the poster's SN, and feared the worst. They were, obviously, confirmed.

At least try to be as classy as your vehicle.
This is our whole point. Audi's are classy vehicles. Why would you want to put a set of spinners on such a nice car?

As Head mentioned; adding additional weight to the TT's wheels would not be a good thing.

Alright, spinners are out. It was just a thought, but yeah, they're tacky. And the Audi is classy, so I will try to keep it so. What about these chrome wheels? Can someone chop them onto my car so I can see what they look like? And any CONSTRUCTIVE comments are welcome. And thanks headshok and A4 Effort for the mature helpful hints. Everyone is right, but the tone of the message can be just as important as the message.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think of these wheels.

Can you get a straight-on shot of the wheels? I can 'shop those for you if you can.

Edit: nevermind

Chrome wheels in 18" are often 35 pounds a wheel or more... while 50 pounds for spinners is absolutely ridiculous, 35 pounds a wheel is horrendous.
The weight of chrome is enough to keep me away from it... but the fact that it looks so 'bling' is what makes me despise it.

I think TT's are somewhat difficult to put wheels on... a lot of wheels that I like wouldn't work so great on them. Although, BBS LM's, RGR's, and CH's (if you don't want a lip) would be a great start, I'd say... And as A4effort can point out, LM replicas are affordable and available. Reps of the latter 2 are (to my knowledge) unavailable.

The wheels you posted, and I don't mean to offend... but they are just the type of wheel that I find teenagers around here point at in a catalogue and slap on their cavaliers without even considering how they'd actually look on a car.
It's like those wheels that look like chrome snowflakes... what the hell are people thinking!?

LM's -- I had originally intended to post pics with RGR's and CH's... but I can't find any at the moment.

Yup, yup - love my LMs. I'm not a fan of chrome either. I see so many damn kids running around town with chrome rims and goofy-*** primered body-kits on their cars that it just makes me cringe.

I personally dont care for the look of the spinner's. I prefer a sport rim purpose built, u know.

i think the only "classy" spinners out there are Davin's, little pricey though.
