Default Speeding Ticket Help

Hey guys,

here's the story. This is not a sob story but merely curious.

My GF is from california and I am from NYC but we go to school in New Hampshire. We were driving home from NH and kinda lost. Bad part is we were being tailgated by this big tractor trailer and she was driving and got scared. So we wanted to pull over and check map // go to an exit and get directions so she stepped on the gas and tried to pull over but a trooper tagged us going 78 or something and gave her an 1110a.

She's back in Cali and can't go to court obviously.

Is there a way to get the fine lowered and the charge changed? Because it really was unfair - the car tailling us was going way fast and I mean on face she broke the law (65mph limit) but is there anything we can do? Any help is greatly apreciated as she's insured at home but also on my insurance and also we're students so a fine is a lot of $$

We were pulled over on NYS Thruway about 15 miles from Harriman by a trooper -

how much is the fine for this 1110a anyway

Pleaes let me know

send the ticket in pleading no contest and you want a court date, sometimes they will send you a lowered fine after that but if not you just have to pay before the court date

cops dont care. I think in CA u can contest the charges by mail, they might have the same over there. There is a site that may be able to help you.
