Default speeding ticket

I got a speeding ticket on I-80 East in San Pablo in the SF bay area yesterday at around 10:10AM ..... i have seen so many people get speeding tickets on this stretch of freeway and i think its cause the CHP takes advantage of the downhill that is on this stretch of road. i was going 82 in a 65.... has Anyone from the bay area gotten a speeding ticket or has seen someone get a speeding ticket in this area? Anyone know what I'm talking about??? im sure imeja has something to say about this....

I know what your talking about and its completely legal for them to do it too. They do it on highway 12 between lodi and suisun because its like 4X the fine on that highway or something. My buddy got hit with a $1,200 speeding ticket the other day. [:'(]

i would check into that fine. i know georgai law is that a speeding ticket cannot exceed $1000 regardless of the the speed or location. so if i'm doing 250mph in a 35 zone i can only be hit6 with a $1000 for speeding(of coarse you know they'd tack stuff on to that but just talking about the speeding)

Holy crap!!..that's an expensive speeding ticket...was there a sign posted stating 2X or 4X penalty fee for speeding?
I know some construction zones and some areashere in socal have that sign and it's a hefty fine. Really trying to discourage speedsters.

The stretch of I-80 between Davis and Sacramento is a speed trap. I've seen so many people get pulled over there, mainly because it's long & straight, but there's not many places for CHP to hide out there. Haven't seen many CHP on Hwy 4 or 12. I don't like driving those roads very much, cause they're mostly on top of levees, and they're only 1 lane each direction Hwy 12 is especially dangerous, especially the section they call "blood alley" (between Rio Vista and Fairfield).
